What we stand for.
In 1984, Kevin Gottleib started building cabinets in a 1,500 square foot workshop in Philadelphia.
KRG Enterprises emerged from a genuine passion for woodworking, transforming a hands-on craft into a thriving business.
As the reputation for KRG's distinctive custom millwork spread, the need for more space became evident. In 1987, we moved to a larger 15,000 square foot facility on Benner Street, marking a significant milestone in our journey. This new space not only facilitated our growth, but also allowed us to refine our craft and expand our offerings.
The 1990s marked a period of dynamic growth and innovation for KRG. We embraced cutting-edge technologies and established valuable partnerships, significantly enhancing our production capabilities and our design approach. This era set the stage for a pivotal shift in our focus towards the retail sector, leveraging our expertise on a grander scale.
2005 was another landmark year for KRG Enterprises, as we moved to our current premises on Blue Grass Road. Our present 156,000 square foot facility brings together our office, operations, and production under one roof, streamlining our processes and fostering a collaborative environment.
Today, KRG is home to a dedicated team of around 100 individuals, many of whom have been part of our story since the early days. Our focus through it all has stayed on a promise of quality and pride, both in the work we do and the people we do it with. We have opened our doors to German journeyman to work full time in our shop and share their knowledge with the team.
Over the past few years, we have partnered with Pitt State University in Pittsburgh Kansas (the only college with a dedicated 4-year wood product manufacturing major) and Williamson College of the Trade for a rewarding internship program.
We are proud AWI Members, holding the standards that our industry is built on.
