Industrial Paint Technician/Finisher

Store Fixture manufacturer located in northeast Philadelphia seeking full-time wood finisher/painter with familiarity in millwork and cabinetry. Qualified candidate must be self-motivated, detailed oriented with experience applying coatings with spray guns (HVLP and/or air assisted). Dependable with a positive attitude on achieving daily goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Sanding and prepping surfaces

  • Staining

  • Priming, Sealing and Top Coating

  • Keeping area neat and maintaining cleanliness of equipment

  • Maintains equipment and preventative maintenance as needed within department

  • Maintains daily record keeping and coating usage

Requirements:

  • Experience setting up, using, and maintaining gravity feed HVLP spray guns

  • Experience setting up, using, and maintaining Kremlin pump-style spray guns

  • Must understand how to mix paint/stains as well as which chemicals to use for specific conditions

  • Follows company procedures & safety standards

  • Performs Monthly VOC Usage Reports

  • Display a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks

  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions from manufacturing supervisor and team leaders

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance and able to stand for extended periods of time

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1-2 years related industrial experience
