History

Established in 1984, Kevin Gottlieb began KRG Enterprises, Inc. in a small woodworking shop building cabinets for the residential market. While working for designers and private homeowners out of a 1,500 square foot shop, the business focused mostly on assorted custom millwork and furniture. Motivated to continuously cultivate his business and improve manufacturing processes, Kevin adopted innovative methods to streamline his business plan. As company growth accelerated, the business outgrew its location, and more space was acquired to fulfill the needs of customers. Profits were reinvested to obtain more productive equipment thereby continuously increasing efficiencies.

Shortly thereafter, KRG had the opportunity to demonstrate its capabilities in the retail industry. These relationships fostered renewed growth and ideas, which brought out the best in what KRG had to offer. With this new expansion, the business shifted gears to solely servicing the retail industry and applying its expertise and know-how on a broader scale.

In 2004, KRG relocated to our current facility in Northeast Philadelphia, where we consolidated all operations including our corporate offices. The company now occupies 230,000 square feet and employs a dedicated staff of 120 people, many of whom have been with KRG for more than 20 years. Our exceptional team is committed to servicing the needs of our customers and providing an invaluable resource for your store planning objectives.

After many years of growth and expansion, founder, Kevin Gottlieb, remains an integral part of daily operations. He continuously brainstorms with engineering about new approaches to store programs and solves intricate design challenges that are frequently encountered. He is an owner/operator involved in all aspects of the business.
